Fraser Cobham – Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine
Fraser is a fully qualified and registered practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA). He is also a member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA).
Fraser completed his bachelor’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at the Sydney Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He travelled abroad to Nanjing China and to further develop his knowledge and skill in Chinese herbal application. Because of his passion to work with Chinese herbs, Fraser undertakes ongoing study with the Institute of Classics in East Asian Medicine (ICEAM). This herbal system places strict focus on pulse diagnosis, individual symptoms and careful selection of herbal formulas for the treatment of complex and modern-day health concerns.
Alongside herbal medicine, Fraser also utilises a blending of Master Tung acupuncture and localised musculoskeletal acupuncture. Master Tung acupuncture is a specific lineage which was developed to address a wide range of health concerns, utilising minimal needles with a strong emphasis on patient comfort. Needles are typically inserted away from the area of pain or concern and specific needling techniques are used to guide the treatment.
Fraser has a particular interest in treating women’s and men’s health, digestive concerns, symptoms of anxiety, depression and insomnia, skin disorders, symptoms of autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions such as aches, pains and stiffness. His unique form of treatment now involves a multi-layered approach to health and wellbeing combining acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, cupping and suggested lifestyle practices. You can expect a treatment with Fraser to be specific to your individual needs, whilst receiving a high level of professional care in a comfortable and supportive environment.
